Ariton Purple Cats (Ariton, AL) supporters left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Samson Tigers (Samson, AL), 12-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Ariton improves its record to 25-14 on the year. The Purple Cats travel to Blacksher (Uriah, AL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Thursday, May 14. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 29-6. Blacksher won 11-1 in their recent non-league game against Zion Chapel (Jack, AL)

The Tigers now hold a 16-13 record. They play next when they travel to Washington County for a non-league game on Wednesday, May 13. Samson will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Blacksher (Uriah, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-14.
