The Trico Pioneers softball team scored 3 runs and limited the visiting Chester Yellowjackets to 2 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Trico moves its record to 24-3 on the year.
In their next game, the Yellowjackets clash with the Frankfort Redbirds (West Frankfort, IL) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 16. Chester will attempt to move on its 6-14 season record. The Redbirds enter the challenge with a 12-19 record after their 10-9 non-league loss to Hamilton County (McLeansboro, IL).
