Newport Buffaloes (Newport, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Susquenita Blackhawks (Duncannon, PA), 3-0 in a league test.

With the win, Newport upgrades its record to 15-4 on the season. The Buffaloes travel to Halifax (Halifax, PA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 16. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 18-2. Halifax won 8-6 in their recent non-league test against Greenwood (Millerstown, PA)

With the defeat, Susquenita falls to 11-10 on the season.
