Ridgewood Maroons (Ridgewood, NJ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hackensack Comets (Hackensack, NJ), 6-5 in a league challenge.

The Maroons now sport a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Indian Hills for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 17. Ridgewood will face a Braves squad coming off a 7-4 league loss to Ramsey (Ramsey, NJ). The Braves record now stands at 15-8.

With the loss, Hackensack falls to 7-14 on the campaign. The Comets host Ramapo (Franklin Lakes, NJ) to face the Raiders in a Big North challenge on Wednesday, May 17. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 14-5. Ramapo won 9-3 in their recent league challenge against Pascack Hills (Montvale, NJ)
