The Wheeler Lions softball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Putnam Clippers to 6 in the Lions non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Wheeler moves its record to 13-4 on the year. The Lions host Plainfield (Central Village, CT) to clash with the Panthers in a Eastern Connecticut - Small game on Monday, May 20. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 7-10.

In their next game, the Clippers clash with the Westbrook Knights (Westbrook, CT) in a non-league game, on Saturday, May 18. Putnam will attempt to move on its 7-12 season record.
