In Monday's league contest, the Waterville Panthers (Waterville, ME) softball team held off the visiting Cony Rams (Augusta, ME), by a margin of 4-3.
With the triumph, Waterville moves its record to 4-5 on the year. The Panthers travel to Oceanside (Rockland, ME) to play the Mariners in a Class B North contest on Wednesday, May 18. The Mariners come into the contest with a record of 1-3. Oceanside won 4-3 in their recent non-league contest against Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME)
In their next game, the Rams play the Gardiner Tigers (Gardiner, ME) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, May 17. Cony will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Tigers come into the contest with a 8-1 record after their 12-6 league loss to Leavitt (Turner, ME).
