Cony Rams (Augusta, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Waterville Panthers (Waterville, ME), 14-9 in a league challenge.

The Rams now own a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nokomis for a Class B North challenge on Thursday, May 26. Cony will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Hermon (Hermon, ME). The Warriors record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Waterville falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Winslow (Winslow, ME) to battle the Black Raiders in a Class B North challenge on Thursday, May 26. The Black Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 6-6. Winslow lost 16-6 in their recent league challenge against Lawrence (Fairfield, ME)
