Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Huntingtown Hurricanes (Huntingtown, MD), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 16-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chopticon for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 18. Northern will face a Braves squad coming off a 9-0 non-league win over St. Charles (Waldorf, MD). The Braves record now stands at 16-3.

With the loss, Huntingtown falls to 13-6 on the campaign.
