Huntingtown Hurricanes (Huntingtown, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Northern Patriots (Owings, MD), 5-0 in a league challenge.

The Hurricanes now own a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lackey for a Southern Maryland challenge on Wednesday, May 4. Huntingtown will face a Chargers squad coming off a 24-0 league win over Westlake (Waldorf, MD). The Chargers record now stands at 7-8.

With the loss, Northern falls to 12-3 on the campaign. The Patriots host La Plata (La Plata, MD) to face the Warriors in a Southern Maryland challenge on Wednesday, May 4. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 13-1. La Plata won 19-1 in their recent league challenge against Great Mills (Great Mills, MD)
