The North Smithfield Northmen lacrosse team scored 13 points and held the host Classical Purple to 1 in the Northmen league win on Thursday.
The Northmen (13-1) will now prepare for their game against North Providence (North Providence, RI). The Cougars go into the Division 4 game with a 4-11 record. In their last game, North Providence was overwhelmed by Lincoln (Lincoln, RI), 16-2, in a league outing.
With the defeat, Classical drops to 5-10 on the season. The Purple travel to Rogers (Newport, RI) to battle the Vikings in a Division 4 outing on Friday, May 17. The Vikings go into the outing with a record of 8-5. Rogers lost 8-0 in their recent league outing against Lincoln (Lincoln, RI)
