Rhode Island High School Softball - Burrillville knocked off by Portsmouth

In Friday's non-league test, the Portsmouth Patriots (Portsmouth, RI) softball squad overwhelmed the host Burrillville Broncos (Harrisville, RI), by a count of 17-7.

Next, the Patriots meet the Toll Gate Titans (Warwick, RI) in a Division 2 test, on Monday, May 19. Portsmouth will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Titans go into the test with a 11-6 record after their 3-2 league win over Johnston (Johnston, RI).

The Broncos (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Lincoln (Lincoln, RI). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Lincoln toppled Barrington (Barrington, RI), 20-5, in a league test.
