South Ripley Raiders (Versailles, IN) supporters left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Southwestern Rebels (Hanover, IN), 9-5 in a league game.

With the triumph, South Ripley improves its record to 9-11 on the year. The Raiders travel to Rising Sun (Rising Sun, IN) to play the Shiners in a Ohio River Valley game on Monday, May 19. The Shiners enter the game with a record of 14-3. Rising Sun won 18-2 in their recent non-league game against New Washington (New Washington, IN)

The Rebels now hold a 9-10 record. They play next when they host Rising Sun for a Ohio River Valley game on Saturday, May 17. Southwestern will play a Shiners squad coming off a 15-1 non-league win over Oldenburg Academy (Oldenburg, IN). The Shiners record now stands at 11-3.
