Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Columbia Eagles (Columbia, IL) and the host Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL), witnessed Columbia's softball squad tip Southwestern by a count of 3-0.

The Eagles now sport a 17-11 record. They play next when they travel to Mater Dei for a non-league match on Saturday, May 20. Columbia will meet a Knights squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Father McGivney Catholic (Glen Carbon, IL). The Knights record now stands at 19-5.

With the loss, Southwestern moves to 17-13 on the season.
