Spectators at Friday's league match between the Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA) and the visiting Twin Springs Titans (Nickelsville, VA), witnessed Rye Cove's softball squad tip Twin Springs by a count of 1-0.

The Eagles now sport a 20-2 record. They play next when they travel to Patrick Henry for a non-league match on Friday, May 24. Rye Cove will face a Rebels squad coming off a 8-7 league loss to Honaker (Honaker, VA). The Rebels record now stands at 15-4.

With the loss, Twin Springs moves to 7-11 on the season. The Titans host Castlewood (Castlewood, VA) to face the Blue Devils in a Cumberland match on Wednesday, May 22. The Blue Devils go into the match with a record of 3-10. Castlewood lost 12-1 in their recent league match against Eastside (Coeburn, VA)
