Spectators at Friday's league match between the Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA) and the host Twin Springs Titans (Nickelsville, VA), witnessed Rye Cove's softball squad tip Twin Springs by a count of 5-1.

The Eagles now sport a 18-0 record. They play next when they host Eastside for a Cumberland match on Tuesday, May 7. Rye Cove will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 10-0 league win over J.I. Burton (Norton, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 14-1.

With the loss, Twin Springs moves to 4-8 on the season. The Titans host J.I. Burton (Norton, VA) to meet the Black Raiders in a Cumberland match on Monday, May 6. The Black Raiders go into the match with a record of 1-4.
