The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI) and the host Classical Purples (Providence, RI), saw Cranston East's volleyball squad beat Classical by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Cranston East upgrades its record to 10-5 on the year. The Thunderbolts travel to Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI) to play the Hawks in a State Championship Division bout on Tuesday, May 24. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 10-7.

The Purples now own a 2-13 record. They play next when they travel to East Greenwich for a State Championship Division bout on Thursday, May 19. Classical will play a Avengers squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI). The Avengers record now stands at 5-8.
