Stearns Minutemen (Millinocket, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lee Academy Pandas (Lee, ME), 25-3 in a league challenge.

The Minutemen now own a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they host Greenville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 20. Stearns will battle a Lakers squad coming off a 15-1 non-league loss to Penquis Valley (Milo, ME). The Lakers record now stands at 4-6.

With the loss, Lee Academy falls to 0-12 on the campaign. The Pandas host Calais (Calais, ME) to battle the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 22. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 3-10. Calais lost 9-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Woodland (Baileyville, ME)
