The Lincoln Lions softball team scored 4 runs and limited the visiting Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties to 2 in the Lions league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Lincoln improves its record to 9-8 on the year. The Lions host North Providence (North Providence, RI) to clash with the Cougars in a Division 2 B game on Monday, May 23. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 7-9. North Providence won 6-0 in their recent league game against Cranston East (Cranston, RI)

In their next game, the Mounties clash with the Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) in a State Championship Division - North game, on Friday, May 20. Mount St. Charles Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-11 season record. The Sentinels come into the game with a 10-6 record after their 11-1 league win over Scituate (North Scituate, RI).
