J.I. Burton Black Raiders (Norton, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Eastside Spartans (Coeburn, VA), 8-4 in a non-league test.

With the win, J.I. Burton upgrades its record to 11-7 on the season. The Black Raiders host Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA) to battle the Indians in a non-league test on Friday, May 26. The Indians come into the test with a record of 18-6. Rural Retreat lost 10-0 in their recent league test against Lebanon (Lebanon, VA)

With the defeat, Eastside falls to 16-5 on the season.
