Massachusetts High School Baseball - Newton South defeats Malden Catholic

In Monday's non-league game, the host Newton South Lions baseball team scored a nice 11-3 victory over the Malden Catholic Lancers.
The Lions (11-5) will now prepare for their game against Concord-Carlisle (Concord, MA). The Patriots enter the Dual County game with a 1-14 record. In their last game, Concord-Carlisle was overwhelmed by Shawsheen Valley Tech (Billerica, MA), 9-1, in a non-league game.
Next, the Lancers face the Mystic Valley Regional Eagles (Malden, MA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, May 20. Malden Catholic will attempt to improve on its 2-17 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 11-5 record after their 12-2 non-league win over Notre Dame Cristo Rey (Methuen, MA).
