Wheaton North Falcons (Wheaton, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Batavia Bulldogs (Batavia, IL), 5-2 in a league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they host Glenbard West for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 3. Wheaton North will battle a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 11-5 league loss to Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 4-13.

With the loss, Batavia falls to 4-13 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Lake Park (Roselle, IL) to battle the Lancers in a DuKane challenge on Wednesday, May 4. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 12-6. Lake Park won 3-2 in their recent league challenge against St. Charles East (St. Charles, IL)
