Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 13-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Independence for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 3. Butler will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Garinger (Charlotte, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 18-5.

With the loss, Rocky River falls to 3-13 on the campaign.
