North Carolina High School Softball - Ashe County bounces Freedom

May 2, 2023: West Jefferson, NC 28694

Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) and the visiting Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC), witnessed Ashe County's softball squad tip Freedom by a count of 18-11.

The Huskies now sport a 13-5 record. They play next when they travel to Alexander Central for a non-league match on Thursday, May 4. Ashe County will face a Cougars squad coming off a 27-0 league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 16-4.

With the loss, Freedom moves to 4-18 on the season.
