North Carolina High School Softball - Atkins nudges Northeast Guilford

Atkins Camels (Winston-Salem, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Northeast Guilford Rams (McLeansville, NC), 16-15 in a league challenge.

The Camels now own a 8-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rockingham County for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 3. Atkins will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Ben L. Smith (Greensboro, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 17-5.

With the loss, Northeast Guilford falls to 8-10 on the campaign.
