The Groton-Dunstable Crusaders crushed the host Fitchburg Red Raiders baseball team by a tally of 25-0 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Crusaders now hold a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Marlborough for a Midland-Wachusett B bout on Friday, May 3. Groton-Dunstable will face a Panthers team coming off a 12-7 league loss to North Middlesex Regional (Townsend, MA). The Panthers record now stands at 5-5.
Next, the Red Raiders face the North Middlesex Regional Patriots (Townsend, MA) in a Midland-Wachusett B bout, on Friday, May 3. Fitchburg will attempt to advance on its 2-9 season record. The Patriots enter the bout with a 9-3 record after their 6-4 non-league win over Shepherd Hill Regional (Dudley, MA).
