Virginia High School Softball - Fluvanna County gets by Western Albemarle

The Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) softball nipped the host Western Albemarle Warriors (Crozet, VA), 7-6 in Thursday's league bout.

The Flying Flucos (7-8) will now prepare for their bout against Orange County (Orange, VA). The Fighting Hornets go into the Jefferson bout with a 12-3 record. In their last bout, Orange County was edged by Louisa County (Mineral, VA), 2-1, in a league bout.

The Warriors now possess a 5-8 record. They play next when they host Madison County for a non-league bout on Monday, May 6. Western Albemarle will confront a Mountaineers squad coming off a 11-3 league win over Mountain View (Quicksburg, VA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 4-11.
