Pennsylvania High School Softball - Milton knocked off by Shamokin Area

In Thursday's league contest, the Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA) softball team overwhelmed the host Milton Black Panthers (Milton, PA), by a margin of 11-1.

With the triumph, Shamokin Area moves its record to 11-3 on the year. The Indians travel to Bloomsburg (Bloomsburg, PA) to play the Panthers in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 4. The Panthers come into the contest with a record of 1-12. Bloomsburg lost 10-6 in their recent non-league contest against Hughesville (Hughesville, PA)

In their next game, the Black Panthers play the Mifflinburg Wildcats (Mifflinburg, PA) in a Heartland II contest, on Friday, May 3. Milton will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the contest with a 13-3 record after their 16-2 league win over Central Columbia (Bloomsburg, PA).
