The North Marion Huskies softball team scored 21 runs and limited the host Newport Cubs to 11 in the Huskies league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, North Marion improves its record to 3-13 on the year. The Huskies host Cascade (Turner, OR) to clash with the Cougars in a 4A Oregon West game on Monday, May 6. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 18-4. Cascade won 11-0 in their recent league game against Philomath/Alsea (Philomath, OR)

In their next game, the Cubs clash with the Sweet Home Huskies (Sweet Home, OR) in a 4A Oregon West game, on Monday, May 6. Newport will attempt to improve on its 1-17 season record. The Huskies come into the game with a 5-14 record after their 12-1 league loss to Stayton (Stayton, OR).
