The Grant Union Prospectors baseball team scored 23 runs and held the visiting Elgin Huskies to 3 in the Prospectors league win on Friday.

The Prospectors now own a 10-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Heppner/Ione for a 2A/1A-SD7 Special District 7 test on Tuesday, May 6. Grant Union will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 6-5 non-league win over Burns (Burns, OR). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-1.

With the defeat, Elgin drops to 0-10 on the year. The Huskies host Pilot Rock (Pilot Rock, OR) to clash with the Rockets in a 2A/1A-SD7 Special District 7 test on Tuesday, May 6. The Rockets go into the test with a record of 2-6. Pilot Rock lost 6-3 in their recent non-league test against Sherman (Moro, OR)
