The Grant Union Prospectors baseball team scored 28 runs and held the visiting Elgin Huskies to 1 in the Prospectors league win on Friday.

The Prospectors now own a 10-8 record. They take the field next when they host Elgin for a 2A/1A-SD7 Special District 7 test on Friday, May 2. Grant Union will clash with a Huskies team coming off a 7-6 league loss to Weston-McEwen/Griswold (Athena, OR). The Huskies record now stands at 0-8.

With the defeat, Elgin drops to 0-10 on the year. The Huskies travel to Grant Union (John Day, OR) to clash with the Prospectors in a 2A/1A-SD7 Special District 7 test on Friday, May 2. The Prospectors go into the test with a record of 8-8. Grant Union lost 4-1 in their recent league test against Union/Cove (Union, OR)
