Next, the Governors battle the Stuarts Draft Cougars (Stuarts Draft, VA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, May 5. Nelson County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Cougars enter the contest with a 4-8 record after their 6-1 league loss to Staunton (Staunton, VA).

The Wildcats (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Altavista (Altavista, VA). The Colonels enter the Dogwood contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Altavista was overwhelmed by Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA), 2-0, in a league contest.
