Glenbrook North Spartans (Northbrook, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host New Trier Trevians (Winnetka, IL), 11-4 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Vernon Hills for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 22. Glenbrook North will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 15-3 league win over Highland Park (Highland Park, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 12-13.

With the loss, New Trier falls to 6-15 on the campaign. The Trevians travel to DePaul College Prep (Chicago, IL) to battle the Rams in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 21. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 1-17. DePaul College Prep lost 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Benet Academy (Lisle, IL)
