In Saturday's non-league contest, the Mitchell Bluejackets (Mitchell, IN) softball team the host Charlestown Pirates (Charlestown, IN), by a margin of 7-3.

With the triumph, Mitchell moves its record to 14-11 on the year. The Bluejackets travel to Clarksville (Clarksville, IN) to play the Generals in a non-league contest on Monday, May 24. The Generals come into the contest with a record of 0-15. Clarksville lost 18-0 in their recent non-league test against New Albany (New Albany, IN)

The Pirates (11-14) will now prepare for their test against Brownstown Central (Brownstown, IN). The Braves enter the non-league test with a 12-6 record. In their last test, Brownstown Central tipped Mitchell (Mitchell, IN), 2-1, in a non-league test.
