Maine High School Softball - Mount Desert Island gets by Old Town

The Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME) softball nipped the visiting Old Town Coyotes (Old Town, ME), 3-2 in Monday's league bout.

The Trojans (7-3) will now prepare for their bout against Hermon (Hermon, ME). The Hawks go into the Class B North bout with a 3-6 record. In their last bout, Hermon was edged by Nokomis (Newport, ME), 1-0, in a league bout.

The Coyotes now possess a 8-4 record. They play next when they travel to Foxcroft Academy for a Class B North bout on Tuesday, May 24. Old Town will confront a Ponies squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Nokomis (Newport, ME). The Ponies record now stands at 3-6.
