The Jesup J-Hawks softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Oelwein Huskies to 2 in the J-Hawks league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Jesup improves its record to 1-1 on the year. The J-Hawks travel to Columbus (Waterloo, IA) to clash with the Sailors in a non-league game on Friday, May 24. The Sailors come into the game with a record of 0-2. Columbus lost 13-2 in their recent non-league game against Dike-New Hartford (Dike, IA)

In their next game, the Huskies clash with the Union Knights (La Porte City, IA) in a North Iowa Cedar - East game, on Tuesday, May 28. Oelwein will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Knights come into the game with a 2-0 record after their 5-2 non-league win over AGWSR (Ackley, IA).
