North Yarmouth Academy Panthers (Yarmouth, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Old Orchard Beach Seagulls (Old Orchard Beach, ME), 8-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Richmond for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 27. North Yarmouth Academy will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to Telstar (Bethel, ME). The Bobcats record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, Old Orchard Beach falls to 0-14 on the campaign. The Seagulls host Lake Region (Naples, ME) to face the Lakers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 26. The Lakers enter the challenge with a record of 6-8. Lake Region lost 19-2 in their recent league challenge against Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME)
