Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Wheeler Warriors (Providence, RI) and the visiting Classical Purples (Providence, RI), witnessed Wheeler's softball squad tip Classical by a count of 9-4.
The Warriors now sport a 9-6 record. They play next when they travel to Shea for a non-league match on Thursday, May 26. Wheeler will face a Raiders squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Block Island (New Shoreham, RI). The Raiders record now stands at 15-2.
With the loss, Classical moves to 7-9 on the season.
