The Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA) softball nipped the host Laurel Spartan (New Castle, PA), 1-0 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Lancers (21-0) will now prepare for their bout against Frazier (Perryopolis, PA). The Commodores go into the non-league bout with a 9-0 record. In their last bout, Frazier held off Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Coraopolis, PA), 10-2, in a non-league bout.
The Spartan now possess a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Our Lady of the Sacred Heart for a non-league bout on Tuesday, May 31. Laurel will confront a Chargers squad coming off a 10-2 non-league loss to Frazier (Perryopolis, PA). The Chargers record now stands at 6-4.
