The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME) and the visiting Mount View Mustangs (Thorndike, ME), saw Maine Central Institute's softball squad nip Mount View by a count of 8-2.
The Huskies now sport a 4-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nokomis for a non-league match on Wednesday, June 1.
With the loss, Mount View falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Belfast (Belfast, ME) to face the Lions in a non-league match on Tuesday, May 31. The Lions enter the match with a record of 2-10. Belfast won 10-4 in their recent league match against Oceanside (Rockland, ME)
