The South Laurel Cardinals softball squad (London, KY), was edged 3-2 in Monday's non-league contest with the visiting Jackson County Generals (McKee, KY)

With the triumph, Jackson County improves its record to 18-17 on the year. The Generals travel to Harlan (Harlan, KY) to face the Green Dragons in a non-league contest on Tuesday, May 27. The Green Dragons enter the contest with a record of 19-8. Harlan won 6-2 in their recent non-league contest against Knox Central (Barbourville, KY)

The Cardinals now hold a 27-6 record.
