Penobscot Valley Howlers (Howland, ME) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad topple the visiting Schenck Wolverines (East Millinocket, ME), 17-2 in a league game.

With the triumph, Penobscot Valley improves its record to 10-0 on the year. The Howlers host Bangor Christian (Bangor, ME) to play the Patriots in a Class D North game on Thursday, May 29. The Patriots enter the game with a record of 6-7. Bangor Christian lost 12-9 in their recent non-league game against Central (East Corinth, ME)

The Wolverines now hold a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Shead for a Class D North game on Wednesday, May 28. Schenck will play a Tigers squad coming off a 18-2 league loss to Machias (Machias, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 1-7.
