The Gates Chili Spartans softball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Canandaigua Academy Braves to 0 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Gates Chili moves its record to 2-9 on the year. The Spartans host Churchville-Chili (Churchville, NY) to play the Saints in a non-league game on Saturday, May 4. The Saints come into the game with a record of 3-7. Churchville-Chili won 5-0 in their recent non-league game against Irondequoit (Rochester, NY)

In their next game, the Braves play the Spencerport Rangers (Spencerport, NY) in a Class A game, on Monday, May 6. Canandaigua Academy will attempt to move on its 2-6 season record.
