The La Cueva Bears baseball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Sandia Matadors to 3 in the Bears league win on Saturday.

The Bears now hold a 23-3 record. They take the field next when they host Sandia for a 5A District 2 test on Saturday, May 3. La Cueva will play a Matadors team coming off a 10-8 league loss to Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM). The Matadors record now stands at 18-5.

With the defeat, Sandia drops to 18-7 on the year. The Matadors travel to La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Bears in a 5A District 2 test on Saturday, May 3. The Bears go into the test with a record of 21-3. La Cueva won 11-1 in their recent league test against Capital (Santa Fe, NM)
