The Newark Norsemen softball team scored 12 runs and limited the host Earlville Red Raiders to 1 in the Norsemen league triumph on Wednesday.
With the triumph, Newark moves its record to 22-3 on the year. The Norsemen host Sandwich (Sandwich, IL) to play the Indians in a non-league game on Saturday, May 7. The Indians come into the game with a record of 7-6.
In their next game, the Red Raiders play the Hiawatha Hawks (Kirkland, IL) in a Little Ten game, on Monday, May 9. Earlville will attempt to move on its 6-9 season record.
