New Hope Indians (New Hope, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Kate Duncan Smith DAR Patriots (Grant, AL), 10-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 4-19 record. They take the field next when they travel to Madison County for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 4. New Hope will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 17-1 non-league loss to North Jackson (Stevenson, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 22-18.

With the loss, Kate Duncan Smith DAR falls to 11-20 on the campaign.
