The Bears come into the contest with a record of 3-11. Bland County lost 12-0 in their recent league contest against Grayson County (Independence, VA)

In their next game, the Spartans play the Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) in a Mountain Empire contest, on Friday, May 5. Giles will attempt to move on its 1-13 season record. The Maroon Tide come into the contest with a 5-7 record after their 10-0 league loss to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA).
