Silver Creek Dragons (Sellersburg, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Scottsburg Warriors (Scottsburg, IN), 5-2 in a league challenge.

The Dragons now own a 19-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Evansville Mater Dei for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 6. Silver Creek will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IN). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-13.

With the loss, Scottsburg falls to 14-4 on the campaign. The Warriors host Lanesville (Lanesville, IN) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 16-2. Lanesville won 13-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Perry Central (Leopold, IN)
