The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Middlebury Tigers (Middlebury, VT) and the visiting Essex Hornets (Essex Junction, VT), saw Middlebury's lacrosse team overcome Essex by a margin of 16-8.

The Tigers (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT). The Cougars enter the Division I challenge with a 2-3 record.

The Hornets (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Champlain Valley Union (Hinesburg, VT). The Redhawks enter the Division I challenge with a 7-0 record. In their last challenge, Champlain Valley Union beat Rice Memorial (South Burlington, VT), 8-5, in a non-league challenge.
