The Hazleton Area Cougars crushed the visiting Dallas Mountaineers baseball team by a count of 8-0 in Thursday's league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 13-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to La Salle College for a non-league bout on Saturday, May 7. Hazleton Area will face a Explorers team coming off a 19-4 league win over Devon Prep (Devon, PA). The Explorers record now stands at 9-6.
Next, the Mountaineers face the North Pocono Trojans (Covington Township, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, May 7. Dallas will attempt to move on its 7-4 season record. The Trojans enter the bout with a 12-2 record after their 7-1 non-league win over Valley View (Archbald, PA).
