Connecticut High School Softball - Woodland Regional bounces Ansonia

The Woodland Regional Hawks routed the host Ansonia Chargers softball squad by a final score of 12-0 in Friday's league battle.

The Hawks (14-0) will now prepare for their battle against St. Paul Catholic (Bristol, CT). The Falcons go into the Naugatuck Valley - Brass battle with a 8-6 record. In their last battle, St. Paul Catholic notched a victory over Oxford (Oxford, CT), 6-4, in a league battle.

The Chargers now possess a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Crosby for a Naugatuck Valley - Brass battle on Monday, May 8. Ansonia will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 14-0 league loss to Wolcott (Wolcott, CT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-10.
